Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 20 and the name of the Member in each case: Deputy Ring — the need to stop the sale of, and to keep in public ownership, lands at Doolough, Geesala, Bangor Erris, County Mayo; Deputy Shortall — the need to tackle illegal drug dealers by establishing a special unit involving the Garda Síochána, the Revenue Commissioners and the Department of Social Welfare; Deputy Mary Wallace — the imminent loss of the basic personal assistance service by a number of people (details supplied) with significant disabilities; Deputy Costello — the need to expedite the transfer of Irish prisoners under the Transfer of Sentenced Persons Act, 1995; Deputy Flanagan — the need to regulate the problem of roaming wild goats in County Offaly; Deputy McDaid — the problems relating to the installation of a CAT scanner at Letterkenny General Hospital, County Donegal; Deputy Deasy — the need to progress the permanent extension which has been approved for St. Declan's Community College, Kilmacthomas, County Waterford, in view of the anticipated major additional intake of students in September 1996; Deputy O'Dea — the unsatisfactory situation which pertains as a result of the detention of people who are adjudged guilty but insane, and the consequent danger to which the public may be exposed; Deputy O'Rourke — the need for the Minister for Enterprise and Employment to intervene in the dispute at Irish Life following the lack of progress in talks; Deputy Martin — the need to review the Copyright Act, 1963, to ensure that events may be organised by schools without the obligation to pay a fee to the Irish Music Rights Organisation; Deputy Michael Ahern — the inadequacy of the water reservoir facilities at Cobh, County Cork.

The Ceann Comhairle has selected for discussion the matters raised by Deputies McDaid, O'Dea, O'Rourke and Martin.
