Question:102 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Education when she will respond to an application from a group (details supplied) in Dublin 10 in respect of funding for a youth project. [8190/96]
Written Answers. - Funding for Youth Project.
Youth services in the area referred to by the Deputy and in the Dublin city area generally are administered, on behalf of my Department, mainly through Comhairle le Leas Óige, the youth work subcommittee of the City of Dublin Vocational Education Committee.
Comhairle le Leas Óige has submitted and recommended an application for financial assistance for this group in 1996 under the grant scheme for special projects to assist disadvantaged youth. Applications for funding for 1996 are currently being examined by my Department and it is envisaged that allocations will be announced shortly.
