92 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Education the request, if any she has received from Cork County Vocational Education Committee for the creation of a teaching post (details supplied); and if she will sanction the creation of this post. [8349/96]
I am pleased to inform the Deputy that I have given sanction to County Cork Vocational Education Committee for the creation of twenty-five permanent posts in the 1996-97 school year.
I understand that the posts have been advertised. The closing date for the receipt of applications was 11 March, 1996.
All appointments will be made to the County Cork vocational education committee scheme. It is a matter for the vocational education committee to decide on the school to which the individual appointees should be assigned.
