As the Deputy is aware, a site has been purchased and the Office of Public Works is preparing a sketch scheme for the project. As yet, the sketch scheme has not been made available to me.

Question:167 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Justice the progress, if any, being made towards identifying a site for a proposed new Garda barracks in Thomastown, County Kilkenny; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [9246/96]
A possible site for the proposed new station has been identified. The Office of Public Works is still pursuing its acquisition.
