95 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Arts, Culture and the Gaeltacht the total amount of national lottery funding that was available to his Department in each of the years from 1992 to 1995; if he will give a breakdown of such funding; the additional programmes and developments from such funding; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Details of projects which have benefited from national lottery funding in the areas of arts and culture, heritage and the Irish language during the years 1992 to 1994 are contained in the Appropriation Accounts for those years. Prior to 1993 money for projects in the arts, culture and heritage areas were disbursed through the Vote of the Department of the Taoiseach and prior to 1996 money for certain other projects in the heritage area were disbursed through the Vote of the Office of Public Works.

Details in respect of organisations/ projects to which funding was provided in 1995 follow in Appendix 1-2.

The total amount of national lottery money provided for the areas of arts and culture, heritage and the Irish language under the aegis of my Department in 1995 was £14,378,680. These amounts include grants-in-aid to certain bodies under the aegis of my Department. In the case of An Chomhairle Ealaíon, which is funded from both the Exchequer and the national lottery, detailed lists of grants given by An Chomhairle are published in their annual reports, copies of which are laid before the Oireachtas. Maidir le Bord na Gaeilge, tá eolas faoi na bealaí ina chaitear an t-airgead a chuirtear ar fáil don eagraíocht — arbh ón gCrannchur Náisiúnta an t-iomlán — ar fáil ina cuid tuarascálacha bliantúla, a leagtar faoi bhráid an Oireachtais.
