Vol. 465 No. 2

Written Answers. - Departmental Advertisements.

Cecilia Keaveney

Question:

85 Cecilia Keaveney asked the Minister for Finance the reason the Derry Journal, which sells over 9,000 copies in Inishowen, County Donegal, is not recognised by his Department as a suitable paper for placing Government advertisements; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [9356/96]

It is standard practice for my Department, in order to maximise circulation in the most cost-effective manner, to place Departmental advertisements in the national daily newspapers.
