Vol. 465 No. 3

Written Answers. - FCA Dress Uniforms.

Mary Coughlan

Question:

245 Miss Coughlan asked the Minister for Defence if his attention has been drawn to the fact that there are 130 female members in the FCA in County Donegal who have completed their training over three years ago and have not yet been provided with a dress uniform; and if he will ensure that each of these 130 members will receive their dress uniforms as a matter of urgency. [9460/96]

In 1995 difficulties were experienced in obtaining supplies of the FCA uniform known as Service Dress No. 1. It has been necessary to establish new contracts for manufacture and supplies of the uniform and issue of the new uniform is expected as soon as the selected suppliers commence deliveries.
