29 Kathleen Lynch asked the Minister for Education the current situation in respect of the use of the medical examiners' form V62/female which must be completed in respect of persons applying for vocational education committee teaching posts; whether the form is still in use; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [9605/96]
The present position is that this form has been reviewed in consultation with the chief medical officer for the Civil Service. As part of this review the managerial authorities of second level schools and the teacher unions were also consulted. The chief medical officer recently approved a revised form and it is my intention that this will be in use shortly. In the meantime I have asked the vocational education committees to discontinue using form V62.
