Vol. 465 No. 4

Written Answers. - Family Resource Centres.

Michael Creed

Question:

106 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Health the assistance, if any, that is available from his Department towards the provision of family resource centres. [9922/96]

Health boards have statutory responsibility for the provision of child care and family support services within their areas. A significant proportion of the additional funding provided by the Government for the implementation of the Child Care Act, 1991 has been allocated to the health boards for the development of a range of community-based preventative services, including family resource centres.
