Vol. 466 No. 1

Written Answers. - Housing Regulations Exemption.

Alan Shatter

Question:

120 Mr. Shatter asked the Minister for the Environment the reason persons holding ministerial office are exempted from application of the Housing (Registration of Rented Houses) Regulations, 1996; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [10883/96]

Persons holding ministerial office are not, by virtue of their office, personally exempted from the requirements of the Housing (Registration of Rented Houses) Regulations, 1996. The exemption in the Regulations relates to dwellings owned by Government Departments.
