136 Ms Shortall asked the Minister for Education when she will publish details of the new provisions governing Northern Ireland and European teachers; when these provisions will come into effect; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [10736/96]
A circular containing details regarding the new provisions governing the employment in primary schools of teachers trained in Northern Ireland and other EU member states is being prepared by officials in my Department.
This circular will issue to the boards of management of all primary schools before the end of this school year.
It is envisaged that these provisions will come into effect from 1 September 1996.
