Question:

70 Mr. Collins asked the Minister for Finance the amount of moneys received from the European Union for each of the past three years in respect of European social funds, European structural funds and European cohesion funds; and the way in which these funds have been allocated. [10787/96]

The amounts of Structural and Cohesion Funds received from the European Union in the years 1993, 1994 and 1995 are as follows:—

The Structural Funds (FEOGA Guidance, European Social Fund, European Regional Development Fund and the Financial Instrument for Fisheries Guidance) have been allocated on a sectoral programme basis.
The Cohesion Fund assists projects in the field of the environment and transport infrastructure forming part of Trans-European networks. The Cohesion Fund focuses on the large infrastructural projects in these sectors.
Data on receipts from the EU are published each year in the budget booklets.
