Vol. 466 No. 6

Written Answers. - Ambulance Service From New Ross.

Hugh Byrne

Question:

53 Mr. H. Byrne asked the Minister for Health the plans, if any, he has to provide a fully equipped ambulance service from New Ross, County Wexford in view of the fact that there is a limited ambulance service for the needs of New Ross town; if his attention has been drawn to the fact that on one occasion recently a doctor had to provide transport for a patient from outside New Ross to Ardkeen Hospital, Waterford and on another occasion two next door neighbours had to be prevailed upon to provide an ambulance service from New Ross; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [12164/96]

Limerick East): I understand from the South-Eastern Health Board that a full time ambulance service with two person crewing is now available at the New Ross base.
