Vol. 466 No. 8

Written Answers. - Tramore (Waterford) Sewerage Scheme.

Austin Deasy

Question:

74 Mr. Deasy asked the Minister for the Environment if he will seek additional funds from the EU Commission to enable Waterford County Council to locate the outfall pipe for the proposed Tramore sewerage disposal scheme along the line of the existing outfall pipe, but considerably extended, in order to prevent any possible pollution of the Backstrand and the Saleen areas. [12335/96]

Waterford County Council has not submitted any proposals to change the siting of the outfall pipe for the proposed Tramore sewerage scheme. The question of additional funding does not, therefore, arise.
