Vol. 466 No. 8

Written Answers. - Garda Investigation.

Tony Gregory

Question:

107 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Justice if she will have arrangements made for a detailed response to be given to the widow of a murdered person (details supplied) regarding the circumstances of her husband's death; the progress to date in detaining suspects; and if she will have arrangements made for one of the investigating gardaí to call to see the widow to keep her fully informed in respect of the investigation. [12400/96]

I have been informed by the Garda authorities that local gardaí have been in touch with the person in question on a number of occasions to inform her of developments. They have also undertaken to continue to keep in regular contact with her and keep her informed of the progress of the investigation.
