The Deputy will be aware that the commission established to examine the existing vocational education committee structure and report and make recommendations on the rationalisation of vocational education committees consists of a steering group and technical working groups which will prepare reports for the steering group.
The technical working group, which is independent of me as Minister, has been requested to prepare a report on the rationalisation of the vocational education committees for consideration by the steering group. I expect the report to be completed shortly at which time it will be published.
