Vol. 467 No. 2

Written Answers. - IRA Munster Unit.

Liz O'Donnell

Question:

54 Ms O'Donnell asked the Minister for Justice the extent of the knowledge of her Department in relation to the activities of the Munster unit of the IRA over the past two years in view of recent events; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [12855/96]

It would be contrary to long established practice and the public interest to disclose or comment on the extent of the knowledge of the Department of Justice or the Garda Síochána in relation to the activities of the Provisional IRA or any units of that organisation.
