Written Answers. - Milk Restructuring Scheme.
I am pleased to inform the Deputy that I recently introduced a further scheme for the subsidisation of the purchase of quota by smaller scale producers, who satisfy the specified criteria, as set down under the 1996 milk quota restructuring scheme. The rate of subsidy has been set at a range of £0.40 to £0.50 per gallon. The exact rate of subsidy will be determined by the level of applications.
