Vol. 467 No. 7

Written Answers. - Hospice Movement Funding.

Brendan Smith

Question:

119 Mr. B. Smith asked the Minister for Health the direct funding that will be provided by his Department in 1996 for the Hospice Movement; the projects that will be assisted; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [14419/96]

Limerick East): As I have mentioned in a previous reply on 28 March 1996, Our Lady's Hospice, Harolds Cross is the only hospice service which receives direct funding from my Department. This hospice's revenue allocation for 1996 is £5.964 million. Other hospice services are funded through the local health boards.
