169 Mr. B. Smith asked the Minister for the Environment when the contract documents in respect of Belturbet sewerage scheme, County Cavan, were submitted to his Department; if he will approve the contract documents at an early date; when approval will issue to the council to invite tenders in respect of this project; when construction work will commence; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The contract documents for this scheme were submitted to my Department on 9 May 1994. Given the high level of commitments under the water and sewerage programme, I cannot say when it may be possible to approve them.
