Vol. 467 No. 7

Written Answers. - Ballymun (Dublin) Garda Station.

Noel Ahern

Question:

297 Mr. N. Ahern asked the Minister for Justice the current position regarding the plans for a new Garda station in Ballymun, Dublin 11; whether a definite location has been agreed; if financial resources have been allocated in this regard; and if a target date for commencement or completion of this project can be given. [14459/96]

The Office of Public Works has forwarded a basic layout plan for the new Garda station together with details of site requirements to Dublin Corporation to see if a suitable location for the new building can be identified in the area. While it is not possible to say at this stage when this project will commence, it will be progressed as quickly as possible having regard to overall priorities and the availability of finance.
