Question:

58 Mr. Ellis asked the Minister for Finance the number of civil servants who have been redeployed from Dublin; and the number of civil servants who have been redeployed to each county for each year since 1989. [14313/96]

To date, under the Government's decentralisation programme, approximately 3,128 staff have been redeployed — not all from Dublin. Identified redeployments from Dublin, by Department, by county, on a yearly basis since 1989, are given in the following table:
