143 Mr. Kirk asked the Minister for Education if she intends extending eligibility for third-level college grant aid to teacher trainees from Ireland in the United Kingdom; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [14511/96]
The extension of means tested maintenance grants to students pursuing third level courses in Britain specifically excludes courses which subject to quota arrangements in Ireland. The courses involved are medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine and teacher training including courses leading to the award of Bachelor of Education.
