Vol. 468 No. 1
9 Mr. B. Ahern asked the Taoiseach the funds, if any, that were allocated to different commemoration projects in 1995; and the funds, if any, that have been allocated to date in 1996 in this regard. [14033/96]
In 1995 the sum of £250,000 was allocated from the Vote of the Department of the Taoiseach to Famine commemoration and to the commemoration of the rebellion of 1798. This year, 1996, the sum of £248,000 was allocated to the same purposes. The sum was not broken down between the two commemorations.
For the information of the Deputy I am circulating the following table of grants paid to individual organisations for their commemorative projects since the beginning of last year.
