Vol. 469 No. 1

Written Answers. - Hospital Waiting Lists.

Michael Ring

Question:

196 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Health when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will be called for a cataract operation in the Western Health Board in view of the fact that he is living alone and is finding it virtually impossible to manage with his failing sight. [16288/96]

Limerick East): I have had inquiries made from the Western Health Board which has informed me that the person concerned is on its consultant ophthalmic surgeon's waiting list. I understand that the board expects this person to be called towards the end of this year or early 1997.
