235 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Health if he will give details of the programme of meetings and dinner functions he intends to host in Ireland for the EU Council of Ministers in the context of Ireland's Presidency of the EU; the venues for such functions; the numbers attending; the basis on which the venue was chosen; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Limerick East): The EU Council of Health Ministers will meet in Brussels on 12 November and there will not be an informal meeting in Ireland. I will not, therefore, be hosting any meetings or functions in Ireland in this regard. The Deputy may wish to know that a colloquium on blood safety and self-sufficiency in the EU, together with a Presidency meeting was held in Adare from 4-6 September 1996.
