Vol. 469 No. 1

Written Answers. - Commuter Rail Lines.

Mary Harney

Question:

656 Miss Harney asked the Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications the estimated cost of upgrading the freight line from Heuston Station to Connolly Station in order that the Arrow service from Kildare could operate from Connolly; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [16309/96]

The position set out in my reply to Question No. 127 of 26 June 1996 remains unchanged. In the absence of actual proposals for the upgrading of the line I cannot give a cost estimate for this development.
