100 Mr. Davern asked the Minister for Education if she intends to reinstate the teaching post recently suppressed at the Christian Brothers primary school, Carrick-on-Suir, County Tipperary; if she has satisfied herself with the current pupil-teacher ratio at this school; and if she will make a statement on the matter. I confirm to the Deputy that a teaching post was not suppressed at the Christian Brothers primary school, Carrick-on-Suir, at the end of the 1995-6 school year.

The authorised staffing at the school, which consists of a principal and seven assistant teachers, remains at the same level as in the 1995-6 school year.
