Vol. 469 No. 3

Written Answers. - Ardara (Donegal) Sewerage Scheme.

Mary Coughlan

Question:

95 Miss Coughlan asked the Minister for the Environment if he has sent all relevant information to the European Commission with regard to the Ardara sewerage scheme, County Donegal; and the correspondence, if any, he has had with Commissioner Wulf Mathies recently in regards to this matter. [17391/96]

The Ardara sewerage scheme has been included in an application submitted to the European Commission for Cohesion Fund assistance for the Donegal Gaeltacht areas. To date, no correspondence or decision has been received from the Commission. Pending their decision, and having regard to the existing level of commitments under the water and sewerage programme, I cannot say when it may be possible to advance the scheme.
