254 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Justice when she intends to introduce new legislation to cover passports for investment; the consideration, if any, which has been given in this respect; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [18541/96]

I am considering a number of options in regard to giving effect to the Government decision to put the investment-based naturalisation scheme on a statutory basis. I am not in a position to indicate at this stage when the legislation in question will be introduced.
