Written Answers. - Domestic Tourism Market.
My Department has no direct function in relation the the commissioning of market research on the domestic tourism market. I understand, however, that Bord Fáilte conducts ongoing surveys and research regarding various aspects of domestic tourism activities, the results of which are included in its statistical publications. Moreover, I understand that the Central Statistics Office with the assistance of Bord Fáilte will shortly be designing and developing an expanded tourism survey which will facilitate more detailed research and analysis of the domestic market.
