115 Mrs. O'Rourke asked the Minister for Health if he will have arrangements made to review the need for an operation for a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath. [19349/96]
Limerick East): In all cases, appointments for medical treatment are allocated on the basis of medical priority. I am advised that the person concerned has been placed on a waiting list, but that the hospital is not in a position, at this time, to give an exact date of admission.
If the person concerned feels that his condition has deteriorated since he was last reviewed or warrants more urgent attention then he should contact his general practitioner who would be in the best position to take up the matter with the consultant concerned.
