143 Mr. Nealon asked the Minister for the Environment the current position regarding a scheme for the extension of Manorhamilton sewerage system, County Leitrim; if funds are available for this work; when work will commence; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [19067/96]

Contract documents for the extension of the Manorhamilton sewerage scheme to Lurganboy are with my Department but, given the high level of commitments under the water and sewerage programme, I cannot say when it may be possible to approve them.
