Vol. 470 No. 4

Written Answers. - Cork Infrastructure Costs.

Peter Barry

Question:

160 Mr. Barry asked the Minister for the Environment the expenditure in relation to developing the infrastructure in the greater Cork city area, including the construction of roads, bridges, sewerage and water schemes and quay wall replacements between each of the years from 1975 to 1996; the amount to be spent on completing the land use and transport system; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [19393/96]

The information requested in relation to the years 1975-96 is set out in the following table in relation to Cork County Borough; records are not available in relation to "the greater Cork city area". The level of future expenditure required by the LUTS plan depends on the resolution of outstanding planning and design issues, but is likely to be in the region of £250 million.
