Vol. 470 No. 4

Written Answers. - Ennis (Clare) School.

Tony Killeen

Question:

208 Mr. Killeen asked the Minister for Education when she will approve a permanent classroom and ancillary development for Kilmurray national school, Ennis, County Clare; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [19413/96]

My Department has examined the accommodation situation at Kilmurray national school and accepts that an additional classroom with ancillary accommodation is required. However, due to the current level of contractual commitments on the primary school capital programme, I am not in a position to give a commitment as to when funding will be made available towards the proposed development. I can assure the Deputy that the needs of the school will be considered when the next capital programme is being determined.
