Question:

259 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Enterprise and Employment the resources available to him and the Minister (s) of State at his Department for the running of ministerial offices and constituency offices in terms of support services, finance and personnel, established and non-established, programme managers and special advisors; if he will give a breakdown in this regard; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The information in respect of my Department is as follows:

Office of the Minister for Enterprise and Employment: one programme manager; one special adviser; 14 established officers; one unestablished officer. The total estimated annual cost (including salaries, PRSI, superannuation and overheads) is £506,000.

Office of the Minister for Commerce, Science and Technology: one programme manager; one special adviser; six established officers; one unestablished officer. The total estimated annual cost (including salaries, PRSI, superannuation and overheads) is £305,000

Office of the Minister for Labour Affairs: one programme manager; one special adviser; five established staff; three unestablished (including two drivers). The total estimated annual cost (including salaries, PRSI, superannuation and overheads) is £299,000.

The three ministerial offices also avail of the standard support services available to all areas of my Department including those of finance, personnel, information technology, press office, messenger and cleaning services.
