Ahern asked the Minister for Enterprise and Employment the cost of salaries and incidental expenses of all programme managers, special advisers and other non-established contract staff in his Department for each of the years from 1994 to date in 1996; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The information in respect of my Office and the two Ministers of State in my Department for the tax years 1994-95 and 1995-96 and 1996-97, to end of July 1996, is given in the following table. These details are in respect of all of the programme managers, special advisers, personal assistants, personal secretaries and drivers who have been employed during the tenure of various Ministers in that time. The cost includes salary PRSI, superannuation and overheads.
