Vol. 470 No. 4

Written Answers. - Prisoner's Medical Condition.

Tony Gregory

Question:

59 Mr. Gregory asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs if he will make representations to the British authorities regarding a prisoner (details supplied) to ensure that she is receiving appropriate hospital and medical care and that her family in Dublin are kept informed of her condition. [19009/96]

The Embassy in London has made representations to the prison authorities regarding the care this prisoner is receiving and her family's wish to be kept informed of her condition. The Embassy has also written to the prisoner offering to visit her.

Subject to her wishes, I will convey to the family any information about her condition which we may obtain.
