Vol. 470 No. 4

Written Answers. - Hospital Waiting Lists.

Michael Ring

Question:

88 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Health when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will be called for a scan in view of the fact that her health is rapidly deteriorating. [19003/96]

Limerick East): Inquiries were made of the Western Health Board in this matter and I am informed by the board that it has no record of a requisition for a scan in respect of this patient.

The board has suggested that the patient's general practitioner should refer her to a consultant staffed out-patient clinic at Mayo General Hospital where the reviewing consultant can establish if a scan is necessary and requisition it accordingly.
