Vol. 470 No. 6

Written Answers. - Tax Refunds.

Michael Bell

Question:

33 Mr. Bell asked the Minister for Finance the reason for the non-payment of a tax rebate to a person (details supplied) in County Louth. [19654/96]

I am informed by the Revenue Commissioners that there is no refund due to the taxpayer at present as her total income, including disability benefit which is also taxable, exceeds her tax-free allowances. However, if there is no change in the taxpayer's current circumstances before the end of the tax year, she may be due a very small refund at that stage.
