Question:47 Mr. Ellis asked the Minister for the Environment if he will provide funds to Leitrim County Council for the repair of houses (details supplied) in County Leitrim. [19605/96]
Written Answers. - Remedial Works Scheme.
The management, maintenance and improvement of their dwellings is the responsibility of local authorities. Under the remedial works scheme, however, funding is available to assist authorities in carrying out major structural works to designated housing estates. An application under the scheme in respect of these houses is under examination and a decision on its eligibility will be notified to the council as soon as possible.
