Question:43 Mr. McCreevy asked the Minister for Finance whether he expects total Exchequer receipts from EU Structural Funds during 1996 to be in line with those budgeted for at the commencement of the year. [16739/96]

To date about 74 per cent of the EU Structural Funds Exchequer receipts, forecast at budget time, have been received. The timing of EU receipts from the EU Commission is subject to variation which makes precise forecasts of the end-year position difficult. Allowing for this, receipts are likely to be broadly in line with the budget.
