Vol. 471 No. 1

Written Answers. - County Donegal Customs Post.

Cecilia Keaveney

Question:

91 Cecilia Keaveney asked the Minister for Finance whether a customs post or part of a customs post (details supplied) in County Donegal will be available for use by the Irish Red Cross Society; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [20429/96]

I am not in a position to say if the customs post at Muff, or part of it, will be made available to the Red Cross. The property is still required by the Revenue Commissioners (Customs and Excise) but it is expectd that it will become surplus to their requirements in about 18 months time. If it is not required by any other Government Department, at that stage, the Commissioners of Public Works will contact the Red Cross (as has already been indicated to them) and advise them of the position.
