Written Answers. - National Lottery Funding.

Michael Woods

Question:

43 Dr. Woods asked the Minister for Health if he will assist the National League for the Blind in clearing the £43,000 debt outstanding on its new premises; if he has considered its application for national lottery funding; and if he will give his decision regarding this request for funding. [16536/96]

Limerick East): The National League for the Blind received lottery funding of £50,000 from my Department in 1994 towards the debt outstanding on their new premises. An application for lottery funding of £50,000 was also received in 1995. No funds were available in 1995 and consideration is currently being given to their request in the context of 1996 lottery funding.
