56 Mr. N. Treacy asked the Minister for Justice if she will sanction a project (details supplied) in County Galway; the reason these works have not been carried out to date in view of the fact that they were previously sanctioned; the date on which they will now commence; the amount of money to be allocated in this respect; and if she will make a statement on the matter. I understand that painting of the premises in question was sanctioned last year but was not proceeded with as it was ascertained that certain repairs and refurbishment would first be needed. The Office of Public Works has since examined the building and reported on the work which needs to be done. This report is now being examined with a view to deciding what action should be taken.
