171 Mr. J. Mitchell asked the Minister for Education when the planning stages of a school extension in respect of a school (details supplied) in Dublin 7 will be finalised; if she will make provision for this extension in the 1997 Estimates in order to enable the school to proceed to contract; and if she will make a statement on the matter. My Department has approved in principle the provision of additional accommodation at the school in question. Officials in my Department's building unit are currently examining documentation which was recently forwarded by the school authority. As this project is at an early stage of architectural planning the question of proceeding to construction does not arise at this time.
