Vol. 471 No. 4

Written Answers - Orthodontic Service.

Rory O'Hanlon

Question:

79 Dr. O'Hanlon asked the Minister for Health if orthodontic services for new clients have been suspended for the remainder of the year in any community care area in the health board regions; if so, the areas involved; the reason for such a decision; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [20964/96]

Limerick East): The provision of orthodontic treatment services is the statutory responsibility of the health boards. Accordingly, I have asked the chief executive officer of each health board to provide the information requested directly to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
