148 Mr. Cowen asked the Minister for Health the additional funding which has been made available to the Carers' Association of Ireland (details supplied) as a result of its representations to his Department to prevent the closing down of services. [21584/96]

Limerick East): The Deputy will be pleased to hear that I made an allocation of £20,000 from lottery funds to the Carers' Association of Ireland last week. The cheque was delivered to the association on Monday, 11 November 1996.
