205 Mr. Haughey asked the Minister for Education the current position regarding a person (details supplied) in Dublin 9 in respect of his wish to be admitted into a secondary school further to representations made by Deputy Haughey on 23 September 1996; and if she will make a statement on the matter. My Department wrote to the mother of the pupil in question on 24 October requesting certain information considered to be of relevance in seeking a school placement for her son. When a reply is received, my Department will endeavour, by a process of consultation with school management, to have the pupil in question placed in a school in his locality.
