Question:116 Mr. B. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Education if she intends to make a sports grants available to Coláiste Choilim, Ballincollig, County Cork. [23682/96]
Written Answers. - Recreational Facilities Scheme.
My Department has received an application from St. Colm's hockey club for funding under the recreational facilities scheme. Grants have recently been allocated under this scheme and all available funds are now committed to these projects. This application will be considered in the event of funding being provided for the scheme in 1997.
However, I point out to the Deputy that a grant of £100,000 was recently allocated under my Department's major sports facilities scheme for the provision of a floodlit synthetic pitch at Ballincollig community school.
